Fashion Studies Students Immerse in Traditional Craft Experience
On Tuesday, the 3rd of September 2024, our Fashion Studies students from classes 11B, 11E, 12B, and 12D were privileged to participate in an immersive educational experience. Under the expert guidance of Dr. Ravneet Kaur, the students delved into the intricate and culturally rich world of 'Nimmalakunta Leather Puppetry,' a celebrated traditional craft hailing from Andhra Pradesh.
This enriching event, organized by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), was a testament to the power of creative collaboration. It brought together a diverse group, including the talented students, prestigious alumni, and skilled artisans. The synergy among these participants fostered a unique learning environment, showcasing the harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary fashion studies.
Throughout the day, students engaged in hands-on practice, gaining invaluable insights into the vibrant and multifaceted field of fashion. The experience not only honed their technical skills but also deepened their appreciation for the cultural significance and artistic value of traditional crafts.
We are proud of our students for their enthusiastic participation and are grateful to Dr. Kaur and NIFT for providing such a meaningful and inspiring opportunity. This event marks another significant step in our commitment to offering comprehensive and culturally enriched education in the field of fashion studies.
