On August 2nd, 2024, Doon Public School, Paschim Vihar, hosted the much-anticipated “Dress for Future Art Competition - Palette of Nation” as part of the Geetanjali Fest 2024.
This vibrant event provided students with a unique platform to creatively explore and showcase the diverse cultures and heritage of various nations through the lens of art and fashion.
The competition aimed to ignite the creative spark in young learners, allowing them to delve into traditional clothing from around the world and integrate their understanding into stunning visual and performance art. The event wasn’t just about looking fabulous; it was about honouring the rich heritage and artistic expressions embedded in traditional costumes.
Held in the Central Courtyard, the event featured teams from various schools, each comprising four talented students. It was a unique blend of art, fashion, and public speaking, giving students the opportunity to showcase their talents while learning from one another.
The competition unfolded in two exciting rounds. In the first round, two participants from each team transformed plain umbrellas into masterpieces inspired by their chosen country.
