Safe Hands, Safe Children: POCSO Awareness Training for Support Staff
Doon Public School organised a POCSO Awareness Workshop for its support staff, including bus drivers, bus attendants, housekeeping staff, aaya didis, and security personnel, to reinforce the importance of child safety, safeguarding practices, and their responsibilities under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The workshop featured interactive sessions, real-life case studies, and practical discussions that equipped participants with the knowledge to identify, prevent, and appropriately respond to situations concerning child safety. Emphasis was placed on maintaining professional boundaries, recognising signs of abuse, and understanding the importance of timely reporting.
At Doon Public School, we firmly believe that creating a safe, secure, and nurturing learning environment is a shared responsibility. Through such initiatives, we continue to empower every member of our school community to play an active role in protecting the well-being, dignity, and rights of every child.
